Room all sockets not working, tiny bath tub showering was so tight, all shampoo, shower gel, conditioner were empty. No staff at all around property due to ‘new owners coming tomorrow’ and because of that guest were rushed to leave before check out time. I deserve my money back.

Room was outdated and had a stale smoke smell. I never ask to switch rooms, but it immediately started affecting my asthma. They switched us to a newly refurbished room that was much better. Hopefully they get to the rest of the rooms soon. The hotel itself seemed like it has a lot of potential with great amenities.

Too old, in need of serious upgrade, high price for poor value. Lots of noisy pipes banging all night. Rooms are tired and beds not very comfortable. Parking is additional charges on separate payment, adding hassle to checkin. The system is a pain and try's to charge more immediately after you set a leaving time, even if that time is within the 24 hour day rate, total scam. Room heaters are turned off and mains power switch is hidden behind the sofa. This hotel is not worth the money.

Very tatty hotel. Stains on carpets in room. Old fashioned. Lots of noisy children. Cold room on check on as the only heater is electric which was switched off upon check in. Don't expect to pay for parking with paying the premium rate we did for room type.

We checked in late and found the window left wide open in the room so, it was cold all night.
The rooms are tired and don’t feel very clean. Ripped lamp shade, extension lead glued to the wall as there isn’t enough plugs, ripped shower curtains, mould around taps, dirty carpets etc.
We stayed in a room facing the motorway and could hear the cars all night. The windows are in need of upgrading.
And paying for the car parking is cheeky. Before going into the hotel entrance there is a pay machine noting you have to pay before you go in - we paid £15 for 10 hours. When checking out I noticed a sign on the desk saying car parking was £7. I asked the person on reception about getting a refund/what I needed to do and they said it was fine.
I don’t think this hotel is worth the price in the condition it is. I’ve had a much better say at the Marriott around the corner, for £20 more and will be going there in the future.

Very disappointing
The terrible state of the room in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. We have stayed in many Hiltons and by far this was the worst. We have also had quick stays in Travelodge's and they have never disappointed us the way this Hilton did. We decided to leave the hotel due to the dirty room we had been given. There was dirt on the bedding, sofas and floor. Dead bugs in the bathroom. We requested new sheets be provided as the bedding was dirty. The staff passed 1 bedsheet to us for us to make the bed but it was dirty too, not 2. We requested a room change and there was a dead moth on the bed and dead ladybug in the bathroom and there was stains on the walls and sofas and curtains. There was a bad smell in the room and the hotel has no lift so we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs. There was mould on the papers in the cupboards and it was not appropriate for the 2 of us and 2 children to stay here.

Dog barking at 7am and people shouting for it to shut up! Only one person could come due to a bereavement and I paid for 2 breakfasts. I was told that we couldn’t have a refund for the second breakfast which I think is a bit mean!
