The hotel smells fowl. Not sure what I was smelling but it stunk. Maybe just a weird musty odor? The bath tub was gross and the shower rod was all jacked up. On a positive note, the TV worked, It was in a good location, only $80 and the bed was more comfortable than it looked.

Around 25 minutes after arrival there were two what Google called carpet beetles. They were tiny. Then around an hour later when we returned with food two roaches came from under the microwave and then one was crawling on the wall by the night stand. We notified the front desk who offered another room, on the same floor. Upon inspecting that room before unpacking again...there were a couple of dead bugs in the room and a spider in the window. There was also an alive spider in the bed. We informed the front desk that we were leaving and was told to request a refund through Hotels.com. That process was completed only to be notified Red Roof Inn declined the request for a refund. We sent pictures as proof as well. Very dissatisfied with this booking.

Staff was very courteous. However, I booked this hotel because it was a PLUS hotel. There wasn't any breakfast as advertised on the website and there was an odd smell, almost like a vape or pot, throughout the hallways, even though it was a non-smoking hotel. While we were there, the toilet broke - clean water from the tank was all over the floor. The staff fixed it quickly and offered to move us to another room. I was attending an event at the Raleigh Conference Center, so I wasn't spending much time in the room. I don't think I will return.
