I chose this hotel primarily because of its location in the gay district, Zona Rosa. I expected people to be more tolerant and the atmosphere to be easy-going, which was definitely the case. The hotel is within walking distance of the metro and museums, and for those who enjoy walking, it’s a pleasant 30-minute stroll to the city center.
The hotel itself is large but obviously neglected. I wouldn't say it was dirty, but my room felt very outdated. The biggest issue was the practically non-existent sound insulation—you could hear everything from the street, the hallway, and the neighboring rooms. There were also technical flaws, such as a shower drain that didn't flow properly and a lack of hooks for towels. I would also rate the hotel gym as subpar.
Be careful with the prices—430 MXN for breakfast plus an additional 80 MXN for an espresso seems like a lot to me. You can eat better and cheaper in the surrounding cafes.
However, what really improves the overall impression is the staff. Everyone was very welcoming, kind, and helpful, which made my stay much more pleasant.
