The staff are uniformly great at this hotel.
Value for money, with extra charges and some glitches, is not great. Free Wifi is pretty standard in all hotels, certainly in conference areas. This one charges. You can get free room Wifi if you let them to spam you through their Bonvoy program (nope!). At other recent Mariott-chain stays, Wifi was always free. Also, this hotel is part of a huge business complex with several office buildings and huge parking lots and ramps that are lightly used. They are free, no payments required anywhere on the property. Yet the hotel takes it on itself to charge for parking overnight anywhere on the property. They just feel like adding $15/day onto your stay. Also, while there is some handicap parking right in front of the hotel, there aren't in the ramp by the skywalk, which is a better place for people to park when it's raining, icy, or snowy.
Maintenance was unimpressive for a higher-priced hotel. The bottom of my bathroom door was coming apart from water damage because the shower curtains are no match for double shower heads splashing off the back wall - a few seconds is enough to flood the floor. There was water damage on the ceiling from the bathroom upstairs - it seems flooding is common. I couldn't turn off the splashier top shower head because the valve was broken.
The coffee machine at their casual cafe was broken - only iced coffee available. They also had the register locking up.
