I was so wanting hollins hall to be as magnificent as it was in its hey bday but unfortunately i left feeling really disappointed. On a positive, the reception staff were lovely and very helpful, as were the leisure centre staff, all very smiley and friendly. Unfortunately though the hotel in general just seems tired and unloved. The cleanliness was really lacking, ie hairs and dirt in the bathrooms, dust on the bedside tables, handprints on the glass doors & the rooms on my floor didn’t seem very sound proofed as you could hear conversations from other rooms.the bed was hard and bit lump, the pillows also very hard, and no spares in the rooms, just two on The beds.
