We will be back!

Clean room and convenient location. We took advantage of the luggage storage service, too, which was great. Beds were comfortable. The only thing that was less than optimal was our TV which we could not get to work properly. However, we never reported it, so that's on us. We had so much to do and see we really didn't miss it.

Horrible experience!!

Horrible service. I never write reviews but this time i had too. I arrived at noon from my 9hr flight very sick. They said that no rooms were available until 4pm. So i waited and when i went and asked an hour later they are like if you pay 100$ we can get you a room now. Later I called for water they said they could not deliver water. When i asked the next day for a taxi instead of sending me a regular cab they booked a private driver for 100$ to LGA. Better hotels for the same price with decent service!

We have stayed at the Belvedere many times over the years. We were a bit less impressed this time. The room carpeting had been removed in favor of a hard surface. While we appreciate that that is probably more hygienic and easier to clean, it felt "cold" or "sterile." There was also a window A/C unit that ran much of the time. Not a huge problem, but noisy and not as comfortable as a unit controlled by a wall thermostat. We also like black out shades, and this room for some reason had blinds. The room could also have used a chair in the corner for TV viewing instead of just the bed and the desk chair. Shower gel, shampoo, etc. are now in squeeze bottles affixed to the wall, but A) our shower gel was almost empty and we had to prompt the front desk to send up a new one, and B) they were very difficult to squeeze in order to get something to come out. I imagine older adults might have trouble using those. I found hair on my (supposedly clean) sheets before getting in bed, and found the same sort of hair in the (supposedly clean) shower before getting in. The shower faucet was weird, in that it defaulted to the shower wand, so that when turning on the shower, wand sprayed water all over the bathroom. We were checked in by Charles, who was lovely- friendly, attentive, and accommodating. All staff with whom we interacted were wonderful!

Buon hotel in posizione strategica.

L’esperienza è stata più che positiva, personale cordiale ed efficiente, posizione strategica, zona centrale e servitissima, non lontano da Times Square e vari punti di interesse, molti dei quali raggiungibili entro i 20 minuti a piedi. L’hotel è un po’ datato, ma ben manutenuto e con tutti i comfort.

Fantastic location and hotel

We had our first family vacation to NY and we chose the Belvedere because of the reviews, the location and the amenities. And it did not disappoint. The hotel is steps away from Times Square yet it's on a quiet side street, so we were able to rest at night without having to wear earplugs like other hotels. It is also 1-2 blocks from the subway. We came for the musicals, and it was within a few minutes walking distance. There are so many good restaurants within .5 miles, so you will not go hungry. We reserved a two double bed room. Even though the bed was smaller than we used to, it was comfortable. The mattress on my husband and my bed did have is rolling a bit to the center, but it was okay. We loved the microwave, fridge and mini sink as well as the extra handheld shower head in the shower. The maid service was okay. I wrote daily notes (with a tip) to ask for the items she missed the previous day and ended up writing them to thank her even on days we didn't need anything. The bellman was super helpful checking in our luggage after checkout and also having a key for us to be able to use the rest room downstairs before we left. He told us that this hotel uses to be a residence, and there are still some who love in the rooms under rent control. I find this interesting. Overall, we very much enjoyed this hotel and would stay here again.

Good stay

Overall everything was good ..small but comfortable room. Excelllent location...convenient for restaurants and social activities. My only complaint is elevator issue...only one working and very slow in the morning with many people checking out.
