Just go Rene is a fn sweetheart the resort is intimately simple and its perfect; not too much "boug"and not shabby, smartly done,well constructed and understated unlike some of the other hippie hotels in Mazunte that go overboard with shtick. this place is a legit vibe with an excellent lap/hang out pool just being 3 steps from the beach. Hang a left to the end of the beach for a (protected by rocks)calm ocean swimming area that is super chill

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Casa Lu. Despite some local infrastructure upgrades taking place, they honoured our booking and made us very welcome - Lucia was particularly helpful. The hotel is lovely - fantastic location right on the beach, and the rooms are large, clean and very well equipped. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Lovely location right on the beach. Excellent pool and room. Reception staff was less than friendly. Zero greetings as we passed them several times during our stay. The bar staff were awesome! Very friendly, attentive and great.

Every room has a great view! All of the staff were excellent and friendly. The pool was refreshing and the grounds beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. Good air conditioning. Would appreciate more comfortable seating options in the room and on the balcony. A mini frig would also be nice. Overall, I truly believe it is one of the nicest accommodations in Mazunte! I would stay here again.

This place is amazing! Beautiful views and location. It’s located down the beach in a quieter area at edge of town but still can walk to the action and restaurants in 12 min. You will be right on the beach with lounge chairs or by a saltwater lap pool. Your lanai has a hammock or swing chair. Your are 6 steps from the pool.

relaxation at its best and most comfortable

Brand new. it was a five star hotel for the price of a 3 star. everything worked. deck that overlooks the beach. the location was stellar. days the surf was too high there was a pool. attached to the hotel is a bar/restaurant with above average food. whats not to like about sitting on the beach and eating super tasty food? easy to just stay there or walk a short distance into town. for those who love the beach and the waves this is an excellent choice

Lovely hotel on the beach, but some small issues

Really lovely hotel in an amazing spot on the beach. The pool was brilliant! We were staying on the ground floor and you don’t really get much privacy as the doors open onto the communal pool area. The internet didn’t work in our room either. The room did feel it was missing a fridge as well, there was literally an empty fridge space for a fridge, so it was missed, especially in an area where you can’t drink the tap water. However, very clean and enjoyable stay,

Everything was Perfect, best Hotel on the Beach. Only thing one could improve is the reception Lady / owner (as also mentioned as only negative in many other comments). She is just not nice, dont make you feel Welcome and you have to ask for everything instead of her proactively Sharing Information (like Wireless password it that there is a big Jazz Festival which is free during the time of your stay)….

Amazing hotel and location

The hotel is situated in a quiet area on the beach with a beautiful private pool and bar/restaurant next to the pool. All were in great condition and kept up nicely. The service was great. Yet, we were informed upon check/in that the air condition was not working due to the storm and the city had not fixed it. Each day we were told that the city should come and fix it. The city arrived as we were checking out. I realize this was not the fault of the city but still, not having AC in the room at night was very warm. The hotel ended up giving us complimentary breakfast after the 2nd day. I would stay here again. It is also next to the turtle sanctuary.

The most outstanding stay I had in Huatulco

There are very few moments that I had such remarkable experiences in life like I had in Casa Lu. As someone that spends over 200 nights a year in chain hotels I must say that Everything was flawless and the hosts Javi and Nayo are simply the best, always helpful and gave great tips of the area , beaches , restaurants and felt like being with old friends. The house itself is a work or art, everything was extremely thoughtful and tastefully done. From the art displayed on the house and rooms to how the ecosystem and all plants were carefully placed in this house. I can't recommend enough and can't wait to have a chance to come back. If you wish to runaway from chain hotels and busy city life style , come with an open heart and enjoy your stay in Casa Lu. Thank you so much again

We really loved our stay here. We don't typically spend this much for a hotel, but it was completely worth it. Mazunte itself can be really busy and noisy and this place has such a peaceful, lux vibe with a short walk to everything. The pool was super clean, you are right on the beach, the staff brings food and drink straight to you in the pool, and the staff was super helpful. I felt overall that the rooms could have been better cleaned. They made the bed but left a dirty floor mat and shower looked like it hadn't been touched. Also, if you plan on staying out late, get the code to get in. We got locked out one night, rang the door bell a bunch and eventually had to walk around through the beach and scale a small fence, which was not great for my husband who had a hurt back. Not a big deal but just FYI because Mazunte has a great night life and it's worth staying out later some nights and come back to your quiet spot on the beach.
