You get what you pay for. Very stylish design, very clean, and very centrally located for a good price. On the downside, there is very little space (even with two carry-on suitcases it gets difficult) and the furnishings are quite basic: no trash bin, no shelves in the shower or bathroom, and no proper heating (only hot air via the air conditioning).

The rooms are sufficient spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable and the AC is working fine. The staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is available. Parking is possible in two nearby garages. The hotel offers everything for a comfortable stay in central Karlsruhe.

We liked the location and the price. The hotel is very centrally located and is in easy walking distance of many restaurants and shopping. Public transportation is nearby. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are clean, beds are good but the rooms are a little bit on the small side. Noise from the street was not a problem. For parking you can use two nearby parking garages.

Reception staff was quite nice. There was a pick-n-mix station and water available. Coffee machine was only available from noon onwards (which one staff member cheekily told me was because they didn’t want to „compete“ with the breakfast offer). If you want to offer coffee, it should be available when most people drink coffee. Room was small but nice. You did hear the tram outside throughout the night and feel the vibration of it. A/C was available, as well as a fridge and safe. I would have liked a trash can in the room though. Checkout is at noon, but the cleaning staff knocked every day at 10am. There was no sign to ask for the room not to be cleaned / to signal you’d be sleeping in. I felt that wasn’t relaxing and not hospitable.

Property said breakfast was available which wasn't true. Ended up at McDonalds for breakfast. Dark, dirty lobby, seemed like something out of the 1980s. Rooms ok, but small with no coffee or hot water in room. Lobby open at odd hours. Entrance was lined with dirty plywood. Unprofessional. Thought I was in a back alley in going into hotel.

The lift does not take you pass the stairs...

This hotel is very nice and I stayed 12 nights during a 2 weeks Conference for work. BUT the lift is located BETWEEN the stairs on every floor so you always have to carry your bag at least one stairs and if you are disabled you cannot reach your room. I think this should be stated in the presentation of the hotel. If the staff could offer to help you with your bag on arrival and departure I would give a happy face to the service. The room was very fine, and good dark curtains and good AC, since it was hot weather. But no full scale mirror and the mirror that was there, was placed so it was hard to use. Very good with a refrigirator in the room. Friendly but absent staff (as it is in these kind of hotels). The restaurant is not part of the hotel and there is only ordered breakfast, by the table, offered for purchase. No breakfast buffé. Otherwise I really liked this hotel and it is very close to the inner city as well as a few stops from the main train station.

Das Zimmer war sauber, nur leider direkt an einer vielbefahrenen Straße. Auf dem Zimmer gab es keinen Mülleimer und es kam eine Extra-Gebühr pro Person dazu. Positiv zu sagen, was die Sauberkeit und Einrichtung von den Zimmern. Alles Sauber und ordentlich. Im Großen und Ganzen war der Aufenthalt für die Nacht ok. Parkplätze sind nur sehr begrenzt verfügbar parallel zur Hauptstraße, wo man nur maximal 1 Stunde für 4€ stehen darf.

Eigentlich war der Aufenthalt O.K., aber... Zimmer sehr klein (selbst für 1 Person). Layout O.K., aber teilweise muss man sich seitwärts bewegen. Sauberkeit & Instandhaltung O.K., könnte aber besser sein ! Frühstück am Sonntag nur bis 11:00 (nicht bis 12:00). Klimaanlage hat funktioniert. Leider hört man Tag & Nacht ständig, wenn jemand duscht oder die Klospülung betätigt - keine ruhige Nacht. Alles in allem O.K.
