It was okay. I booked via hotels.com but opted to pay later at the hotel. BIG MISTAKE. A £26 Expedia prepayment was taken from my card used to make the booking which I assume was a pre-authorisation payment to make the booking. That was fine, I accept that. The day before I was due to arrive a payment of £267.23 was taken out of my account by oxo-expedia prepayment which should not have happened as I opted to pay AT THE HOTEL. I was also asked to pay the full amount upon arriving at the hotel but thankfully after explaining the situation to the nice lady on reception with evidence of my payment she checked me in. I asked for the invoice on my departure and the amount did not match the charge taken from my account, in addition to hotels.com amount also being incorrect! This is incredibly frustrating as I don't have a correct invoice to claim expenses with the company I work for. I don't blame the hotel entirely I think there's been a degree of miscommunication from hotels.com and the third party Expedia/OYO with payment fees. In future, I will opt to pay in full or avoid any hotel affiliated with OYO or Expedia. Now on to the room review: The room was very spacious with decent utilities and body wash/shampoo/conditioner was provided. The bed was ok but not the most comfortable but the sheets were clean. The air con did not work and the same can be said for the bathroom exhaust fan. There was plenty of towels provided though but no hand soap. Staff were friendly.

Poor weak shower. Lovely room. Found the bedroom door had been open all night, and did not lock after staff informed me the battery had ran out, not a good response in today’s climate Food was good but limited choice. Could not get Aircon to work room very hot.

False represented themselves as a spa in which they are not all in any capacity are or can be classed as. Upon arrival to the property I asked what time does the poor and spa open and the guy behind neural reception said to me we do not have a spa or a pool I don't understand. I have just recently been diagnosed with a shoemart in January my partner of recent had moved back from Portsmouth to RM12 at his parents due to his dad being diagnosed with dementia we have not seen each other for over three months I have two days off and my little girl was away with my dad so I booked this place to have two days relaxed as a spa and to spend time with him and it was somewhere within the location that was close to his dad and mum's home due to his dementia's condition. I traveled there and paid over 220 pound to find out the fact that they falsely represented themselves as a spa in which they do not have any no never have had those amenities or are spa never have been.

I attended for a Business Network meeting and stayed overnight at the hotel. I was in room 141, which was clean and comfortable. However, there was no natural light into the room and the lighting in the room is poor. The curtains were ill fitting and let the light in through the night from outside lighting. After the business network meeting, went into the bar area to get a drink and no members of staff were present, nor at reception. It was like a ghost town. On my way to my room bumped into 3 members of staff who let me know they were heading back to the reception/bar/restaurant area. At this point it was getting late, so had a drink, ordered a pizza to take and eat in my room.

We travelled 13 hours to get here only to find there was a young lady who was very apologetic telling us we could not have dinner because the restaurant was closed. Neither could we have a drink because the bar was closed and in the morning there would be no breakfast. The place is so isolated there are no surrounding alternatives for food and drink so we asked to order a taxi only to be told there were none available. We booked another hotel for the Saturday as it was my wife’s birthday to initially be told there would be no recompense. The original girl then told us as we were leaving she would ensure credit for the night we had to pay for another hotel and the breakfast but hotels.com advised that would not be the case. It is still to be pursued but the fact without warning they knowingly knew we travelled from Scotland and left us high and dry without alternatives or warning is vastly more than disappointing.
