Lovely location with seaside within 1 min and a stream just next to our apartment. Loved the birds and sunset viewing. Minimal road noise in unit 5. Clean room. Comfortable beds. Newly renovated bathroom and toilet. Full kitchen appliances and shared BBQ facilities. It just lacks some cooking utensils: baking dish to use in the oven, big salad bowl and a cover for the frying pan. Owner was very accommodating - She let us check in without pre-payment as we arrived late. Thames is a pretty little town. We enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

Good location just out of town. Beach out front of the motel with lovely views of the sunset over the beach. Comfortable bed, electric blanket, good shower pressure, was able to watch the rugby game on tv because there was Sky Sport and movies in the room. Host had turned heat pump on prior to visit and text instructions on key.

We always have a great stay at Sunset Motel. Check in is always a breeze with self check in. Diane (manager) is super lovely, always keen for a chat and helps out if we ever need anything. All the staff are great, very respectful of privacy especially during turnover service. Location is brilliant, clear view to the water if you are keen on fishing and need to check what’s happening. Reserve right next door if you bring your pup for exercise. Just a great property to relax or get away.

This little gem gives you a great view of the ocean. The accomodations are super clean, roomy with a cute little kitchenette! The beds are super comfy! Air conditioning after. Hot day of hiking was so appreciated! The owners were delightful and ready to fix any issues that Came up! Loved this little find!

We were blessed to find a half pint of milk in the frig which we used for breakfast cereal. This was no mistake left from a previous occupant because this is the second time we experienced this nice touch of hospitality. Also they washed our almost week's clothes and refused payment Finally it is right on the Firth of Thames north of Thames. So it is a very quiet place to rest by the found with gentle breezes blowing. A beautiful spot in my opinion. The room was quite comfortable with separate living room. What more could you want?

Solution de logement efficace pour un court séjour. L’appartement est placé en bord de mer avec une belle vue. Les chambres ont un peu vieillies et nécessiteraient une rénovation. L’isolation phonique pourrait être améliorée car on entend le logement d’à côté. Arrivée autonome. La communication pourrait être anticipée pour éviter de recevoir le message le jour même. Would not use again. Window latches missing and the ones there were unusable. Lots of coming and going from access to beach area made you feel insecure. Drapes on windows not clipped correctly, tv reception was terrible shower not much better. No reception never saw anyone and the drive into the unit was like driving the bronks. They seem to accommodate for permanent occupancy.

Our hosts only communicated by email, so we did not meet them during our stay. They left detailed instructions about the accommodation & the area. The room was large, clean, the kitchen was well equipped. Grill available. The property is across from the bay. Pretty sunsets. We enjoyed the deck, along with local ducks who came by for a visit. Grocery stores close by. We used the motel as a base to explore the Coromandels Peninsula. Worked well.Good stay.
