old tired room with curtains that wouldn’t close completely and were torn. bathroom shower door was covered in soapy film. toilet seat was old and worn as was the entire toilet and it ran constantly. Refrigerator in room was at 42 degrees at arrival. AC system was fickle. Middle of the stay one ac unit starting pouring water onto the carpet. Forced to get assistance from front desk person who did get it repaired promptly. decided to point out other issues and employee wasn’t keen on hearing them let alone fixing them. managed to get the fridge to 38 degrees. told us that they wouldn’t ’ding us’ on the curtain issue that had nothing to do with us. In room coffee is some sort of ‘cool’ pour over system that tasted like it was several year old coffee. At arrival the employee noted that there was coffee and cookies on the mezzanine level which turned out to be a keurig and a vending machine. overall a pathetic excuse for ‘hospitality’ of which we would never stay at a property like this ever again.

Clean rooms. A bit small but quiet. Shower was good. Onsite steakhouse but did not eat there. Overnight parking is outrageous at $50 a night. About a 20mon walk to the French Quarters. Staff was adequate but not welcoming for a hotel of this caliber.

There is no parking available, be prepared to pay $50 a day for valet parking. We stayed for 3 days. The bed was not made the next day, towels were not replaced. Guest Elevator was used for their staff to transport chairs which we waited and they seemed not care for their guests. Not impressed at all. Shower was not draining properly and room look outdated.

Staff are pretty friendly. Rooms are old style and elegant, really nice. Walkable to bourbon street. But if u gonna be drunk, that 15 mins walk can be too long. A little far from Frenchman but hotel is in CBD area. But quiet and close to many good restaurants.

The hotel was exactly what we needed for a girls' weekend - clean, quiet, and halfway between the French Quarter and the Garden District, so easy access to both. It's right on St. Charles and you could get on the streetcar right across the street. We saw the same front desk person (Bianca) the entire time, and Bianca was very helpful. Don't expect lots of amenities (e.g., pools, etc.), but this place was great for a quiet place to relax after wandering the city all day.

This is a refurbished stately old hotel, with huge rooms and a very friendly staff. It's about a half mile from the French quarter and much quieter (Lafayette park is right next door). There's an excellent restaurant kitty- corner and a well regarded steak house next door within the building. There's also a very good grocery store two blocks away which has a good selection of wines and beers and take out foods.

We love the location of this hotel. It’s in a rather quiet spot but only blocks away from the action. Restaurants, bars, and shopping are all within easy walking distance. Staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and spacious. It’s one of our favorite go-to spots!
