Had I known the place was under construction, I would have gone elsewhere. There were building materials stored throughout the lobby and other areas. The price was good nonetheless, and I could have overlooked all that. What made the place terrible, was the poor customer service. The person at the front desk in the evenings is not suited for a customer facing position. I drove up to the hotel and the first thing I see is the major construction. The second thing I see is a lady sitting out front on the building's ledge smoking a cigarette - right next to the entrance. To my surprise, this person worked the front desk and mumbled to me: "you want a room"? Never said "thank you" once in my multiple interactions with her. Pool closes at 11pm but at 10:50pm, she rudely came in and said she was closing and we had to get out. The pool has no towels but she never said a word about the towels for the pool being kept at the front desk (another worker told us after we came through dripping wet). Great customer service doesn't have to cost a company much other than good training and getting rid of folks who are not appropriate for working with the public and representing the business.
