As this is more a group of apartments than a hotel in one building, my assumption is that experiences will differ quite a bit between the various houses and the apartments in those houses. We (family of 5, with 3 kids under 9 years) stayed in a top level apartment at the edge of the old city. The apartment was in very good condition, with modern amenities. And when we discovered that one of the beds was significantly harder than the others, the owner was extremely quick to fix this with a much softer mattress overlay. Overall, their responsiveness was very good.
One thing to note is that these are very old buildings. While ours was in great condition and quirky in just the right way, it didn't have an elevator. So we had to carry our luggage up 5 flights of stairs. By the time we were done, I was seriously out of breath, and I'm quite a strong person. Not at all a show-stopper, and completely understandable, but might be important to know this for some.
Otherwise, would easily stay there again, we had a great time! And the location is great, everything is easily walkable from there.
