We paid specifically for a connecting room from the beginning of our stay. Unfortunately, the mattress in the first room was extremely uncomfortable, which is not what one would expect from a 4-star hotel. When we contacted the staff for assistance, they took a very long time to respond. After performing Umrah and being completely exhausted, I ended up sleeping on the floor that night.
The following day, after reporting the issue, the hotel offered us a complimentary dinner buffet as compensation. We had already paid for the breakfast buffet, which was excellent and offered a wide variety of choices.
We were then moved to another connecting room; however, this room had a very strong smell of smoke. It was unbearable for my children, and we could not sleep comfortably, so we all slept in one room. We contacted the staff again, but no one came to address the issue. The next day, the room was cleaned, but the smoke smell was replaced with a strong room spray odor, which was still unpleasant.
In addition, we experienced an issue with the room speaker—it was producing a strange noise and could not be fully turned off, even when set to the lowest volume.
Overall, the lack of comfort, repeated room issues, and slow staff response made our stay very stressful, especially during such an important spiritual journey.
