The aesthetics of this hotel were pleasant, and the pool area lives up to the hype. The regular pool has a 10 foot deep end, which is practically extinct, and there is also an outdoor jacuzzi. The patios connected to the rooms are nice too.
Now for the bad: It rained when I was there, and water leaked through the ceiling of my bathroom. The towel rack inside the bathroom was broken. The hot water level of the showers was far from sufficient, even when turned all the way up. The rooms were missing microwaves. The cable TV was flaky. In general, it was not a comfortable stay.
But the biggest turnoff was the parking. No mention was made of paid parking until after reservation. Its $24 per night. I’d have stayed in Gaslamp District or somewhere else in downtown if I had known that.
I don’t recommend staying here until they fix the bathrooms and other basic ammenities.
