Excellent Stay

Great stay at the Glass Light Hotel. This was our first stay at the Glass Light Hotel in Norfolk, Virginia. Great location, easy walk to plenty of museums, dining + drinks, etc. Staff was excellent, rooms are big and well pointed with large walk-in showers. Highly recommend!!!!

Amazing and unique

Without a doubt, one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. The service was unbelievable, and the glass exhibits really made it unique. Can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful staff. I love the room service detail.The only thing I wasn't crazy about were the rocking chairs at the table in the room. I kept hitting my ankle on the bottom part of the rocking chair, ouch! But other than that, wonderful ambience, comfortable beds, wonderful shower. I would definitely recommend, just please change out those rocking chairs in the rooms.

Very cool hotel. Right next to all the Norfolk sights/sites like the historic Cannonball green path and Freemason street. Excellent restaurants and stores nearby. And the hotel restaurant is really not your usual hotel restaurant but really top flight. Also very helpful and understanding staff.

The room was very clean — i.e. bathrooms, bedding, plush towels, etc. However, my room was facing the parking garage and I did not feel comfortable and returned to the front desk. At the front, there was a lovely young lady who was very friendly. I must say, she made my stay extra special. I wrote her name down, but I cannot find the paper. I felt she understood my concern. She was so caring and very professional. She changed my room. I felt very comfortable telling her about my discomfort, as I know that Marriott Hotels has a reputation — they aim to satisfy their guests. I used the hotel’s self parking. My only concern there was that there was no parking attendant, and the elevator was initially out of service — but it was fixed in a timely manner. The hotel’s central location is nearby restaurants and shops. During my stay I told my daughters, who decided to get a rooms and one of my daughters told her best friend who also had a room! The lobby area is ver inviting and relaxing. The food served in the onsite restaurant is exceptional — fresh and tasty.
