The house is a delight. We were on the 3rd floor so lots of stairs but it was fine for us. The room we were in was roomy and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We were within walking distance of many interesting sights and shopping.

An Immersive Experience in Old Quebec

The B&B certainly delivers a fantasy of living in a 17/18 century French chateau, with period furniture, decorations and design (inside and out). It does, however, have all the modern conveniences including A/C, an expansive bs Bathroom (3 sinks and a clawfoot bathtub). The bed is comfortable although the upholstered chairs are certainly antique! The highlights are the location (15 minute walk to the Old Town) and a delicious breakfast. There are steep stairs to enter from the street and to the upper floors which are challenge for hauling luggage and for those with mobility issues. As a B&B there is no room service or assistance with luggage.

Les + : bien situé pour visiter Québec. Le jeune homme qui servait le matin était très aimable et faisait de son mieux. Les - : La climatisation n’est pas réglable individuellement, nous n’avons pratiquement pas dormi pendant les trois nuits car le bruit était insupportable et la température trop basse, j’ai contacté le responsable la première soirée et il m’a répondu que c’était normal et qu’il allait dormir donc pas la peine de le rappeler!!! La soit disant télé (minuscule) ressemblait à une tablette..! L’accueil à l’arrivée et au départ n’était pas du tout à la hauteur !!! Le rapport qualité prix est médiocre !!!

Very nice place - put choose your room with care

Perfekt location and the ambience of the building is wonderful! But do avoid the Romantic room on the top floor - unless you like blows to your head from banging into the ceiling time and again, even in the bathroom. You can effectively use less than half the floor area of the room due the ceiling height. The room has a small window and is quite dark. Wonderful breakfast served in one of the historical rooms.

Old fashioned B and B, mysterious, opulent old place, great location, lots of stairs, nice breakfast, dour host, my room is a library. Lively street with lots of shops. The free garage for my car was nice. No complaints.
