Old Airline Guesthouse

The Old Airline Guesthouse is very clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The hosts are extremely warm and hospitable, and they were very helpful in resolving the difficulties we encountered (they even helped me fix my broken glasses). The guesthouse is also conveniently located close to various facilities and shops in the center of Höfn. It was one of our favorite accommodations during our trip in Iceland, and we highly recommend it.

Bad ratio price quality

Positive: breakfast included and with choice. Everything was very clean. Negative: The room itself was tiny. The communication to enter the flat was a disaster, the host are not answering the messages and the interphone. We were lucky the husband of the host was randomly there to open us. Overall to pay 180 euros a night for this is not acceptable.

The host prepares breakfast for the next day every evening, so there’s a good chance you’ll see her and have a quick chat. The guest rooms are spacious, and the common areas are warmly decorated—it’s a cozy and homey place to stay. The host is very welcoming. Even before we arrived, she had already sent us a detailed introduction to the town, including gas stations, restaurants, supermarkets, and more.

This was up to now the best guesthouse we stayed at during our trip. Very clean. Rooms size are good. Breakfast was good and copious. The host was very nice and welcoming. We appreciated the opportunity to do laundry. Late check in was easy and well communicated before our arrival. We would definitely stay here again in a future trip. Hofn is a nice little town to stop and relax on your trip around yhe route 1.

Es qar eine sehr schön gestaltete Unterkunft, sehr sauber, sehr freundliche Gastgeberin und tollet Ausblick vom Esszimmet aufs Wasser. Liebevoll gestaltetes Frühstück als Selbstbedienung, mit dem wir gar nicht gerechnet hatten. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

We stayed here for one night. Check-in was easy. Our room had two twin beds, it was small, but enough room for our suitcases, and a desk. The shared area is just like a house with a decent sized and clean kitchen, and dining table and sofas to relax. She has laundry machines with detergent available, you pay by QR code, so nice and convenient. The upstairs bathroom is a good size, and shared with 3 rooms. Overall a nice stay. We would stay here again.

편안하고 가족같은 분위기의 숙소이다. 큰 캐리어가 있을 경우 2층으로 올라갈 때 약간 불편할 수 있다. 하지만 분위기 있는 안락한 거실에서는 편안함을 느낄 수 있다. 주방은 잘 갖추어져 있지만 식탁이 하나 뿐이라서 모르는 다른 룸의 사람들과 동시에 식사를 할 경우 불편할 수 있다. 1층에는 세탁기와 건조기가 마련되어 있어서 밀린 빨래를 할 수 있다. However, you can feel comfortable in the cozy and cozy living room.
