"It was secured, and nicely kepted outside. The rooms where Ok, old and basic. However we got scammed with breadfast, it was included and the administration said we had to tell them in advance if we want breakfast or not."
"It’s a small hotel in not a very good surrounding. I would say almost 3 stars rating. Room is well equipped but A/C takes a long time to cool the room during the day. The breakfast is quite good and they even make a take away if you have to leave early. Riohacha is not a particularly good town but the hotel is convenient if you have spend a night."
"The building design is amazing, the views and the peace that we felt there was incomparable. The grass around the pool is not convenient as it gets very wet and slippery, the breakfast could be improved but the lunch and dinner options were great.
We made a reservation to stay in the room with a pool since August but it was already occupied, we were offered a different room with ocean view instead but was a bit small for the family.
Overall we had a great experience that could be improved but we would go back if time allows."
"The owner wants something for nothing. Basic accommodation is fine, but when the window is boarded up so no natural light, toilet doesn’t flush without messing with pipes and a bucket, a/c lets a load of hot air in, a bad leak inside the room, and worst of all owner lied in property description about having Wi-Fi meaning an expensive 3 hour round trip to get a SIM card and enough data to keep connected to my family and do online work. He said it was a storm the night before, but I was there then, and no storm! Had heard anyway it’s been broken for a long time and owner not fixed it. Despite the guy who worked there being nice, unfortunately he was not in charge. Owner accused me of not paying and despite showing my receipts and bank statements, was being harassed to pay twice by both owner & useless staff at Expedia. Very intimidating being the only guest there and in the village, which is inconvenient for atm, food shopping or alternative eating outside the hostel. Despite all of this the owner was very rude to me and did not offer one gesture that he was sorry I had such a terrible experience or for the extra expense. Avoid!!"
