"Exceptional friendly Swedish & Spanish staff. Cosy, homely, festive decorated hotel with Xmas spirit. Modern fitted clean bathroom. It's 5* for being a hotel with a heart. It tries v hard to provide 5* service. Don't compare it with The Penisula & alike 'cos that's not the goal. Compare it with the family or friend's holiday home where the hotel ski shuttle (to Valtournenche, Cervinia) frequency and timetable is flexible, transfer to Milan is negotiable, kitchen staff will lend you her own mob to call the pharmacist, and late lunch with homemade pasta being made impromtu at 4.30pm when the kitchen is closed. If reception is unattended, look for staff in the kitchen. Like all hotels, there're cons such as sounds of guests enjoying themselves on the ground floor till 11pm (v noticeable on 1st floor but not on 3rd floor. Note need to drag luggages up the stairs but staff can help). One would have the odd minor maintainence issues at your own holiday home, & this was no exception but it's not a deal breaker 'cos staff are attentive & make every effort to make your stay enjoyable. Have a chilled, flexible, accomodating mindset like one would at your own holiday home, and you'll not be disappointed! Great breakfast as it had fresh produce, daily fresh pastries, hot cooked food straight from the kitchen & kept warm on stovetops. It even had limoncello shots on some mornings. This hotel offers affordable comfortable ski accomodation for those wanting to ski in Cervinia-Zermatt. "
"Nice large room with balcony and nice Mountain View’s. Excellent breakfast. What really made the stay was the staff. My wife had an injury which hampered her mobility and everyone from breakfast staff to front desk went out of their way to make our stay easier. They turned a bad situation into a positive experience. Can’t say enough about everyone’s kindness "
"A very nice hotel with lots of facilities. The restaurant onsite is fantastic and is certainly ‘fine dining’ as it describes itself. We will certainly be back"
"Like most we were drawn to the view, but that's really all it has to offer. And let's be clear, in the valley all the views are amazing, so this is not unique. The rooms are looking tired and run-down, and it's clear the maintenance has been to fix things in a very 'DIY' standard. It is not a comfortable space, the beds and fixtures and finishing are all of the cheapest quality. The sinks blocked the first day, and remained so despite requesting help to unblock them. Eventually done after 10 hours and some further requests. The shower water temperature is dictated by anyone using the kitchen tap. Cigarette butts littered the space directly outside our accommodation. All of the huts are packed together - you will know your neighbours intimately. We went to the bar the first night and were served by an unhappy teenager that was more interested in making comments to his friends next to him than serving us. Now after all this, take into consideration the cost. Outrageous. You can find significantly better for significantly less."
"Enjoyed my stay. Cute little hotel, great accomodation for the price. Only 1 night stay on a roadtrip. Attached restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced. Breakfast included was a nice continental buffet. Staff friendly and helpful. Wifi was decent. Limited parking available. Would book again!!"
