Hampton by Hilton Canterbury
10/10 Excellent
"We visited Canterbury for the first time to experience the Christmas markets as part of a ladies’ night away, with lots of festive activities planned. The original hotel I had booked fell short in terms of service, so I changed our reservation at the last minute to the Hampton, a decision I’m so glad I made!
Even before arrival, communication was excellent. I was kept well informed, particularly regarding parking, and the service already felt warm and welcoming. On arrival, we were quickly accommodated. Louise went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and settled, which made a real difference.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and provided a great night’s sleep. Despite being located on a pedestrian road, the hotel was quiet, with no noise or disturbances on our floor. The location was fantastic for accessing the Christmas markets and local shops.
Breakfast was satisfactory, with an average selection and quality. The waffles were a highlight, along with the fresh fruit. The hot chocolate was very popular with the rest of the group. Fried eggs would have been a great addition to the menu.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Every member of staff we encountered was polite and pleasant. A special thank you to Louise and the gentleman at checkout for their assistance and fantastic service."
"The room was very clean. I have mobility issues and they gave me a room with one level and a shower seat. Which was great for me. The staff are always willing to help and are very courteous in all they do and will accommodate if possible anything you require. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will stay again. "
"An excellent stay from start to finish. We were pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade, which made our experience even more special. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always happy to help. The food was excellent, with great quality and variety. Highly recommended—we would definitely stay here again."
