"We loved this place and thought it was so nice! It had a fridge with a pitcher of cold water. It had a microwave. It had a washer. It was roomy and cute! Here are the reasons we gave it a 4 star. : #1 It is a shared apartment. The bedroom has no mirrors which made it hard to share the bathroom and the only trash can is in the bathroom, which was tiny. #2 The smell. If you have a sensitive sniffer, don’t stay here. There was a strong stink of sewage in the bathroom before we went to bed. We thought it was coming from the toilet, so we closed the bathroom door to keep the smell out. Around 2am, we realized the smell was coming directly from the AC unit in the bedroom! We could not sleep. There was no escaping the smell. We want to leave this property a 5 star review because the communication was great, it was clean, we felt safe, the costumer service was fantastic, but the stench was really bad. 😬"
"Great apartment, friendly staff, location is a bit far in walking distance from almost everything, if you have a car, is 5 min. Restaurant opens at midday and doesn’t offer breakfast options "
"There are lots of really great things about this hotel but so many things they could do better. The best thing is the staff, the receptionists are incredible, always smiling, cheerful, hardworking, efficient and knowledgeable, especially Marta who went an extra 2000 miles for us at check in and later on. She resolved so many things for us to make our stay better, always ready to assist no matter how many times we asked her for help, even arranging a surprise birthday cake for us at minimal notice, and always with a warmth and kindness that made us feel valued. She was incredible and you can tell she just tries to do her best for everybody and nothing is too much trouble for her. Also Jade who went out of her way too to try and organise a restaurant for 14 people, but all the receptionists were super friendly and helpful, I only know sobe of the names, Lucia, Patricia, Esperanza but there were more. The waiting staff in the restaurant and the bars were great, Rafa, Lopez, Nicolas, Diego but others whose names I didn’t learn, so friendly and efficient. The chefs who were always on hand to help with multiple food intolerance issues and offered to make different things for me, Roberto the assistant manager was always walking around the whole hotel making sure everything was ok, always friendly and helpful and I saw him dealing calmly with a difficult issue. I also noticed that he would step in and help staff in any area if they were busy/customers waiting."
"This hotel was great for what we wanted.
The buses were regular and the stop was outside the front of the hotel, but it was 35-40 minutes away from the centre.
Lovely breakfast with several options. Rooms basic but comfortable with a great shower.
Reception staff friendly, approachable and exceptionally helpful."
"Breathtaking views from this Parador overhanging the dramatic Arcos cliff. Add to that a MOST welcoming and pleasantly UPBEAT staff, and one knows that THIS, the stay at the Parador de Arcos will never be forgotten. As evening fell:
The dogs were Barking,
The doves were Flying,
The storks were Nesting,
and WE...
were Resting."
