"Great staff, very well-presented and well-maintained hotel. Genuinely one of the cleanest places I've stayed. Easy walk into town or to the beach. I'm not from the coast and it was wonderful to hear the sea at night."

"We loved our stay here, it was so near to whitby centre. The room was good, a negative is no where to dry towels. We had to ask for more coffee and sugar, as we were staying three nights. We will recomnend a stay at Penny Hedge. Staff could not do enough for us , all very friendly and polite. We will come again now we know of the hotel . Caroline and Laura were helpful , we rang because we could not quite find your location on our sat nav. staff helped us on this matter and then found you quickley. kind regards to all at penny Hedge. "Exceptionally well decorated and beautiful home to explore the local area. Very welcoming on reception and everything you could need. Only minor gripe was the upstairs shower that was either boiling hot or freezing cold with no in between but sort that and this place is perfect. "
