"Amazing amenities and rooms in a lovely location, great spa/massages. One of the best restaurants on the Yasawa islands. The only thing I would criticize is the lack of a clean water tank to refill reusable bottles. I don't want to buy plastic bottles on a small island and add to the pollution of the world."

"antastic place to spend your time. Mantaray Island about 3.5 hours from the main island in Fiji in the Yasawa Island group, is a beautiful little hamlet of paradise. I spent 5 nights in a Reef Bure (With AC) an was extremely impressed with the cleanliness and general upkeep. The outdoor bathroom is an absolute highlight with its 3 different light/mood settings at night. The Bure itself was also only 12 step from the beach with its beautiful torquay blue water. Great snorkeling is on offer straight off the beach (High tide only) and a lovely hotel pool for low tide. The Restaurant served amazing meals on a set menu that changed every 2 day’s (B,L,D) and during the day you can swap your lunch meal for a pizza by the pool if you like, the resort also offers diving (Which I didn’t do this time) and a Spa that offers a limited but good range of massages. The Hotel is a cashless hotel, so you don’t need to have a wallet full of cash like I had. Overall this is a very good 4 star operation in the Yasawa group, and I am definitely looking to come back in July-September next year when the Mantaray swim past the Island. "

"Had a fantastic time at Waya Island Resort. I wanted to celebrate my birthday somewhere special and this exceeded my expectations. The arrival and property is so majestic, the staff is excellent and very helpful. I loved the snorkeling excursion so much I did it twice. And of course, the massage was one of the best I've had. "Mai sunset is the perfect resort for people wanting a quiet stay, where you feel like family. The daily snorkelling trips (which are included) are not to be missed! The coral around the island is especially colourful and can see incredible fish at different times. It's definitely the most alive coral reefs we've ever seen in Fiji. We also went on a manta ray trip, and although we weren't lucky enough to see rays - we had an amazing experience. The ladder on the boat might need to be replaced soon though! The rooms are a perfect size, the outdoor shower is divine and the rooms have a small fridge too. Every staff member we met made us feel like part of the family and we spent so much time chatting with staff and other guests. We were one of 5 or 7 people on the resort during our stay and it never felt too busy. We can't wait to return! Thank you Liddi, Paul, Elinoa, Male, Saku, Jay, Ami, Api, Venni, Rusi, John and all the wonderful staff that make Mai sunset the best destination in the Yasawa islands. "
