Hotels in Santa Maria

"I booked a mixed shared room, paid a bit of a higher price to stay in rooms that in the photos show having 4 or 6 beds. When I got there was put in a small room crammed with bunk beds, it is now a 10 people room, plus and adjacent room with 4 more beds, all sharing just 1 toilet-shower. When I asked about why the booking photo looks so different, was told that they couldn’t do anything, and left me no option just to stay there. Mattress was comfy but too many people in the room made it impossible to sleep properly. The kitchen and breakfast are good, there is a little terrace too, the staff is very nice. The issue is the crowded room, little or no storage space, and the toilets of course should have more cleaning due to the amount of people and usage. It’s a pity that they have crowded the rooms like that as it ruins a bit the experience and it feels like they just want to make money and forgot about hospitality, it also felt deceiving that they don’t put a proper photo of how the room actually is. "

"We stayed in a ground-floor room. The laminate flooring was already swollen from the damp and smelled musty. The patio door couldn't be locked. The shower cubicle didn't have a sliding door. There were plenty of towels, and everything was clean. The beds were good, and although the air conditioning could be adjusted, it seemed to make hardly any difference. Breakfast was okay; scrambled eggs cost an extra €1. We only stayed one night (€122). The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff was friendly."
