Harbour House Bed & Breakfast
10/10 Excellent
"If you are going to Ullapool, stay at Harbour House. Period. It's an easy walk to town, the views are absolutely gorgeous and the staff were wonderful.
We splurged and stayed in a loch view cabin and the minute we walked in thought, "We could stay here for a few more days."
It's a bed and breakfast, so if you want it there are both full breakfast and continental style.
Our friends stayed in the main building and couldn't rave more. "
"I stayed at the Royal Golf Hotel in Dornoch with my dog. The golf course and surrounding area are absolutely stunning — clearly a lot of care goes into keeping them in top condition. The hotel itself has charm and a lovely old-world feel, but unfortunately the guest experience didn’t match the setting. Service in the restaurant was underwhelming, and the room wasn’t as clean as it should have been, with a stained carpet. It almost felt like they look after the course better than the guests. With such an incredible location, a little more focus on service and housekeeping would make all the difference."
"The meals were superb, staff friendly full of local information. We stayed 3 nights and used it as a hub to travel both north and south
The sitting room and bar are fit for Royalty! "
