"I stayed at Burhanoglu Konağı for two nights. The hotel is in an excellent location with everything within walking distance. There is a supermarket next door which is handy.
You can get a Havamas Shuttle from the airport to cleopatra gate & the hotel is just a 10 minute walk from there which is very easy.
There is a nice courtyard where you can relax & eat breakfast etc. Breakfast is bread, cheese, salad, fruit & a wide array of spreads, jams & cakes. There are fruit juices to choose from & tea & coffee. There is free tea/coffee & hot and cold water available at anytime.
The room is nice & very unique with its stone walls. There are ample plug chargers, a tv, the WiFi is good. Air con & a fridge with water in when you arrive which is a nice touch. We had one master bedroom & a large second bedroom.
The bathroom is nice with a good shower, toilet & sink with toiletries provided.
Staff are very friendly & helpful. A wonderful stay."
"I have truly fallen in love with this beautiful, stunningly designed hotel. It doesn’t even feel right calling it a ‘hotel’ as it feels so much more homely than that.
From the moment I stepped foot inside the konak, I felt transported into another world entirely. The beautiful trees and outside decor, the plants, historical ornaments and of course the boss of the ground Limon (the dog 😆).
Being a history fanatic, every single corner of this hotel down the it’s tiniest detail has been beautifully and deeply thought out. I’ve taken so many photos and videos I’m sure I still have many more to take when I come back soon!
The staff give a family vibe to the place which I personally feel is PERFECT. Elif is so sweet and has been nothing but a gem since I arrived.
The breakfast has been stunning and I absolutely LOVE their home made jams and honey! It is DELICIOUS!
One of my favourite things about staying here is that I hear the ezan (call the prayer) every morning. Waking up to that is something else!
I will 100% be back for my future trips back to Tarsus as I feel safe, comfortable so looked after.
Elif Hatun Konağındaki herkese çok teşekkür ederim ☺️✨"
"Mostly our stay was terrific. We loved the beautiful historic property and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Sibel, at the front desk, was so friendly and helpful as was the tall guy in the terrace bar (sorry I forgot his name; his English was very good).
Unfortunately, the crazy loud music until 23:30 from the rooftop bar was just plain unacceptable. Even with our windows closed we couldn't sleep. I can only imagine how awful it is for the neighborhood. This hotel needs to decide if it wants to be a lovely historic hotel or a rave (aka dance party). Such a shame because it's really a lovely old property with great staff."
