There are a few local places to eat within walking distance. There is a bay across the street where you can watch kids having fun and jumping off in the water or you can stroll for a nice sunset walk. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The experience overall felt really nostalgic. I grew up in a small town like Hilo, so it felt nice to feel a little piece of home there. "

Very responsive hosts, there is no host at the lodge, but there are plenty of supplies if you run out of towels or coffee, or anything you can usually get from a hotel. The neighborhood seems safe. The store down the road had most anything you need. There’s a laundry at the true value store down the road. "
