"Our room was absolutely beautiful, and very clean. The owner is very personable and lovely to speak with. We took our provided outdoor chairs over to a grassy area to enjoy the water view. Out of the 7 hotels we’ve stayed out on this trip, Fair Isle ranks #1. "
"We had a great experience staying at the Trailsman Lodge. We had a wonderful Lake view even with a last minute reservation. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included which was a great bonus and very yummy. "
"We loved staying here and exploring the Cape Breton area with this as our base. The room was comfortable, and there was a Pub on the premises that served good food. Though the breakfast buffet was pricy. The view from the room was worth it.

"This place is amazing for a quiet getaway. It’s so secluded we thought we were lost! Even GPS was confused. I guess a lot of the clientele are locals because the restaurant was packed for dinner both nights were there. It’s an older establishment,but well maintained. It’s a beautiful location and the employees were so friendly.We would definitely stay here again!"
"This was the BEST cabin rental EVER!! It was so perfect - the view, the grounds to walk on, the trail and the hill on the property. The cabin was fully equipped and super clean and comfortable. They think of everything. We will be back again for certain. Nice to have a coffee on the chairs on our cabin porch in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening - amazing view!"
