Hotels in Guishan District

"Room smelled like smoke. Pretty strongly. They offered to move my room but I figured it would be the same. Everyone in Taiwan smokes. There are cigarette butts everywhere outside lol. I liked that the room was quiet and new and clean so I just dealt with it. It had a balcony and the curtains by the balcony were the source of the smell. People obviously go outside to smoke and it gets on the curtains. Everything else is very nice. I’d say upscale hotel. Very clean and modern. Pillows are hard as rocks but manageable."

"They clean our room everyday and staff were courteous. Breakfast buffet is delicious they used to modify some of their viands everyday. In terms of location I think is superb very accessible to shops, restaurants and MTR since its located in Ximending."

"Free mini bar is a nice touch. However, the lighting in hotel lobby and the room could be a little brighter. I found it difficult to see well. All in all the hotel and its location are great, clean and convenient. Staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfast buffet is generous and delicious. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel immensely."

"There is a tiny desk, so if you need to work, it can only fit a laptop. Room is ok for one person for 8 days stay, it would be too much for 2 people for a long stay if you plan to stay in the room a lot ( to work like me). The room is clean and cleaning crew is super friendly. However the lobby staff is not so much. They are not mean, but not friendly either. There is no smile or greeting “Hi” what so ever. Perhpas I am Taiwanese therefore they are not friendly to me. Taiwanese people are known to be friendly especially to foreigners. So I am surprised that these young people who work at the lobby show no sign of friendliness. It is very hot in April while I visit, so the walk to the MRT and train station seemed very far. If you travel without a tour group and plan to come back to the hotel to rest friend the day, this might not be the hotel for you. As it ia very far away from the main Taipei. I will not stay here again anymore even though it is cheaper $80 a night and very clean"

"I had a great stay at Caesar Metro Taipei Hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, which was a nice way to start the day. It is a little pricey, but they do provide a discount for hotel guests, which helps. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would gladly stay here again."
