Nam Views | Mekong River: As much solo traveling as I do I often arrive somewhere new knowing very little people or no one at all. This has always been one of my favorite aspects of traveling, the chance to meet someone new from a different culture and hear their story intrigues me. A visit to the Mekong River was one of the top places I wanted to visit while in Vietnam but I’m not a organized tour type of guy and it’s quite a bit of a ride so I wasn’t sure how I was going to do it. During a dinner with my friend @littlemay.05 who was visiting her family in Vietnam for the Tet Holiday I was introduced to her friend @myn.57 who’s hometown is near the Mekong River. She offered to pick me up from a nearby bus station and take me on a tour of the river. "I have stayed in different rooms in this hotel many times. Seriously, the Hotel are in need of refurbishment. 1. The floor tiles in several of the rooms bathrooms are uneven making the bathtub standing lopsided which, when swayed, would hit the floor causing echos. 2. The hotel used to offer complimentary instant tea & coffee sachets but these are now chargeable 3. Every morning, the cleaning lady would come at 9.30 am and bang on the door crying "Cleaning service". She would continue to bang on the door even when there is no response and then attempt to unlock the door. 4. The doors have gaps between the joints 5. The hotel boss owns Song Tien, Song Tien Annex & Cuu Long Hotel, in my opinion, Song Tien Annex in its disrepaired stated is regarded a dumping ground for budget travellers. "
