"Its a family friendly hotel. Hot sprinds are nice. Breakfast was also good. Hotel building is bit old and washrooms were average cleaned. Only 2 towels were left initially. No comforter in the room. Front staff was nice and they gave them to us.

The staff is outstanding and the food at Kitara is top caliber. Highly recommend this place and the staff - chef Alex, Michael and Bryan managers , Harvy , Albert , Diego gave us a royal treat !!

"We had a warm welcome from the moment we arrived , with clear instructions prior to arrival as well. The breakfast as mentioned in previous reviews was the best that we have had in Costa Rica and likewise we were treated to a wonderful home cooked three course meal at a very reasonable price. We loved the peaceful surroundings with nature on the doorstep including trails into the forest. We loved our stay and just wish we had planned to stay longer."
